The Alpha Legion arrive (sort of)

Here are some WIP pics of 5 of the 10 Marines at the end of the previous post.

Remember, I am going for speed. (Already behind schedule.) I plan on having 1500 points fully painted and flocked by April.

The effect is a teal color overall, with some iridescent green metallic in some areas. This is how I did it.

Step one.
Prime black, and Heavily drybrush Shadowed Steel over entire model.

Step two.
Stipple some shadow grey/Fenris grey mix 50/50 over random areas of the model.

Step three.
Wash heavily with green ink.

Step four.
Paint chainmail on trim and arm areas of backpack

Step five.
Paint goblin green on some decorations, and freehand attempt at Alpha Legion symbol.

Step Six.
Paint eyes mechrite Red.

Step Seven.
Paint horns black, and after sealing coat horns with 'Ard Coat gloss.
